As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be:
- Driving the technology space in the company.
- Leading the internal product development.
- Hiring new team members.
- Providing consultancy to clients.
The job requires some key skills, like:
- Java or Scala.
- Experienced in data processing applications like Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
- Data profiling and formats like parquet, avro and ORC.
- SQL

We are a technology start-up in data products and consultancy. We spend most of our time in product development and data consultancy and of course, doing some fun projects.

Currently we are growing our core team, who would be responsible for bringing the first version of our product to market. We are looking for a new colleague with experience in data processing to join our team.
Key responsibilities:
· Develop, improve and maintain our core product over Data.
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the projects.
· Analyse and resolve technical problems
· Bring new technology and ideas to the table
· Influence cross team initiatives and mentor junior engineers
· Providing consultancy to one of our clients
What are we looking for?
· At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
· Knowledge of data engineering applications like Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
· Proficient in Python.
· Knowledge of public cloud providers such as AWS and Azure
· Experience with Relational Database Systems
· Experience with CI/CD tools, and containerisation.
· Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments
· Masters in Computer Science or a similar discipline
