As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be:
- Driving the technology space in the company.
- Leading the internal product development.
- Hiring new team members.
- Providing consultancy to clients.
The job requires some key skills, like:
- Java or Scala.
- Experienced in data processing applications like Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
- Data profiling and formats like parquet, avro and ORC.
- SQL

One of the main responsibilities for this role is to become the go-to person for our clients.

Bring new technology and ideas to the table and be a developer advocate.

Influence cross-team initiatives and mentor the rest of the team.

Providing innovative solutions to clients.

Assist our product development team and hire new team member
What are we looking for?

10+ year track record of relevant work experience

Dynamic leader who has directly managed team of highly competent developers in fast paced work environment

Good communication skills, able to explain complex solutions to stake holders.

Knowledge of data engineering applications like Apache Spark or Apache Flink or willingness to learn.

Knowledge of public cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.

Experience with Relational Database Systems.

Experience with programming languages like Scala/Java, or Python.

Experience with CI/CD tools, and Kubernetes.

Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments.

Very good dutch and english language skills.

Master in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
